Jared Hillman is a NY-raised, LA-based filmmaker with a background in acting, a passion for painting, and an accidental niche working with kids, young adults, and toys. 

Behind the camera, he has written and directed commercials, narrative films, digital series, and branded content, including L.O.L Surprise Unboxed!, an online series with 250M+ views. As part of creative duo Hillman/Helfgott, he co-produced/directed the award-winning short films, Tandem, The Listing Agent, and The Fake. He is the co-creator and director of the AwesomenessTV series Teen Survival Guide and the live-action director of the Amazon Originals film, L.O.L. Surprise Winter Disco. He has also written and directed for toy brands like Little Tikes, Barbie, Trolls, Care Bears, Paw Patrol, and many more.

As an actor, he has guest-starred on television series like Psych, iCarly, NCIS: LA, Castle, Major Crimes, Without a Trace, and others, and has a supporting role in The Social Network.

He graduated magna cum laude from USC School of Cinematic Arts and currently lives in Los Angeles with his talented and hilarious wife (and frequent collaborator), Natalie Lander.  He leads Team Belly Laughs annually to raise funds for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and was named Los Angeles Honored Hero in 2021.
