(An autobiography in third person)

Jared Hillman is a NY-raised, LA-based actor and filmmaker.

As an actor, he has guest-starred on television series like Psych, iCarly, NCIS: LA, Castle, Major CrimesWithout a Trace, and others, and has a supporting role in The Social Network

Behind the camera, he has written and directed commercials, narrative short films, digital series, and branded content. As part of creative duo Hillman/Helfgott, he co-produced/directed the award-winning short films, TandemThe Listing Agent, and The Fake. Jared’s other directing ventures include The Jennies, the pilot The Pick-Up Sticks for New Form Digital, and The Escort, starring Doris Roberts. He is also the co-creator and director of the AwesomenessTV series Teen Survival Guide and the director of L.O.L Surprise Unboxed!, a branded series with over 250 million views.


His work with child actors, and specifically toy brands, led Jared to serve as live-action director of the Amazon Originals film, L.O.L. Surprise Winter Disco. He has additionally directed for brands like Little Tikes, Barbie, Trolls, Care Bears, and others.

He graduated magna cum laude from the Production program at USC School of Cinematic Arts, and currently lives in Los Angeles with his talented and hilarious wife (and frequent collaborator), Natalie Lander.  He leads Team Belly laughs annually to raise funds for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, and was named their Los Angeles Honored Hero for 2021.
